Press-friendly bio
Wall Garden (project name) is the brainchild of Cameron Pilchard, an indie artist who builds intricate, emotionally raw music from his bedroom. His upcoming concept album You Are Not Invited explores anxiety, loneliness, and human connection through experimental soundscapes and narrative structure.
Q/A
General questions
Who are you?
- My name is Cameron Pilchard, and I am a 22-year-old rock musician who started making rock music around 2022. It’s been a dream of mine to make music full-time, because I don’t think there’s a better feeling than knowing people resonate with my work.
Why should I care?
- idk 🏃♂️
- but if you are looking for a new sound to listen to, you might enjoy it, so why not check it out 🤷♂️
What’s your sound?
- I have been compared to U2, Coldplay, and Radiohead, among others.
Have you released anything?
- Not as of late, but I plan on doing so starting in May/June of 2025. So expect to see my songs begin to crop up on your favorite streaming service
What makes your music different?
- I’m alternative—my music comes in many flavors. I love working across different styles. Some songs are short and sweet; others are sprawling, theatrical journeys. If you like variety, you’ll probably find something that resonates 😁
- I like to use an eclectic blend of elements. I love using elements of psychedelia, progressive rock, post-rock, jazz fusion, ambient, electronic, and experimental music.
Who are your favorite artists?
- I like listening to all kinds of music. But I have a few favorites—Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Talk Talk, GY!BE, Car Seat Headrest, The Protomen, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Jack White, to name a few.
- I also like some Western classical composers like Beethoven (5th, 7th and 9th are my favs), Ravel, Lili Boulanger, Rachmaninoff (2nd symphony is my fav), and Mahler (3rd symphony my fav)
For Musicians / Gearheads
What’s your gear like?
- Logic Pro, a Yamaha P-125 for keys, and a Fender Player Plus Stratocaster—the Cherry Sunburst Solid Body.
- I mix soft synths with distorted organs, weird time signatures, even some bowed instruments (I don’t own any violins, violas, or cellos, sadly. I use the library LABS, my beloved)
